Martha Stewart

How do we stand on Martha Stewart, for or against?

I find that many people, since her little "incident," do not really like Martha. They think that she is snobbish, self-centered, receives special treatment, and shouldn't have gone along with the stock market scheme in the first place.

Why are we so cynical against Martha?

Personally, I think that if someone suggested us a tip to make us a lot of money, we would go after it too. Maybe Martha did have a lot of money to begin with, but I bet if we had a lot of money too, we would have done the same thing.

I really don't find her that stuck-up either. I've watched her on her show and on talk shows, and I think she's a pretty decent woman. She's made me laugh from time to time. She's taught me a thing or two about creating a corkboard to creating halloween baggies with homemade prints of bats and pumpkins. She's not a bad lady, in my opinion.

On Conan O'Brien, she was a riot. She made Conan go dunking for apples, which was quite a sight to see. She also talked about making creme brule with her microwave. Yes, I know that it's a special privilege to have a microwave in a jail cell, but that's the way the world is: celebrities get special treatment in jail. Do you think that's right or wrong? Whatever. We have no control over it. It might not be fair, but that's the system.

Anyway, I don't see the big stink against Martha. Some people passionately dislike her. I'll take the opposing stand. I have no problem with the woman. I wish I knew so much about making things in the home. I know they're not ALL her ideas, but she's not dumb as rocks.

Are we for or against Martha? Why? Shed some light on the issue.

i dont have any beef with marth. i dont think what she did was right, but i also think she did her time for it (regardless of how easy or hard it was). you're right, celebrities get special treatment when they get in trouble with the law. i mean look at vince neal, the lead singer of motley crue, he killed someone when he was driving drunk and he was in jail for 30 days.
and i also give marth credit for bouncing back. the illegal activities that she engaged in did not end her career. she's also not like a train wreck like paris hilton either.
i'm not saying i watch her show religiously or anything, i dont think i've ever watched a whole episode. so "to make a long story short" (E) i dont have issues with marth.
