In my browsing today, I became fascinated with Robert Doisneau's photos. His work spans from the 40s, 50s, and beyond. They are wonderful shots of real life, but taken with a special eye. He has a way at looking at situations and turning them into art, with the angle, coloring, closeness, etc. He captures the moment to instill history, a great way to encapsulate the 1950s.

This photographer might be a bit out of your style, but I really enjoy her work. It's all staged (she doesn't just happen upon the scenes that she shoots).
ReplyDeleteHer name is Sandy Skoglund. I don't know how to insert a link, so you'll have to google her. TJ showed me pictures of hers while taking his photography classes in college. It's incredibly imaginitive, and I really love the colors that she uses.
